1,591 Australian-bred dairy goats arrive in Pampanga
Some 1,591 dairy goats from Australia arrived at the Clark International Airport, Pampanga, on May 18, 2021. These animals are currently quarantined at JJK Farm, Magalang Pampanga, before distributing to farmer recipients in Luzon who passed the technical evaluation conducted by the Department of Agriculture-National Dairy Authority (DA-NDA). Dairy goats arrive from Australia for gov’t dairy project
Some 1,294 heads of dairy goats from Australia arrived at the General Santos International Airport, Monday, April 5, 2021 at around 8:00 PM.
The said animals of Saanen, Alpine and Anglo-Nubian breeds are to be distributed to qualified farmers as part of the dairy goat production component of the Intensified Community-Based Dairy Enterprise Development project, an undertaking spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture (DA) through the National Dairy Authority (NDA) and is funded under the US Public Law 480 (US PL480) program.

Located at the juncture of scenic mountain slopes and sprawling plains in Brgy. Sta. Maria East, San Nicolas, Pangasinan, the 299-hectare Bravo Dairy Cooperative origins can be traced back from a chance encounter of its founder, BGen. Francisco S. Bravo, with some of the well-known businessmen and entrepreneurs including the late Mr. Danding Cojuangco and former Sen. Ramon Magsaysay, Jr. sometime in 2010 during the birthday bash of former Minister Conrado Estrellla. As the group in his table enthusiastically shared their experiences on dairy farming, and encouraged by former Sen. Magsaysay Jr., the seed of putting up his own dairy farm at his hometown of San Nicolas, has been planted in BGen. Bravo’s heart.
NDA celebrates World Food Day 2020
In celebration of the #WorldFoodDay, the National Dairy Authority-Southern Mindanao Department has set up today a milk kiosk at its office compound in Los Amigos, Davao City to raise awareness on the importance of milk as a healthy and nutritional food.
As part of the occasion, NDA personnel are also distributing to the public free dairy goodies produced by our assisted dairy cooperatives from Southern Mindanao as well as hygiene kits provided by Kims Milk Corporation.

The National Dairy Authority (NDA)- Leyte Field Office conducted a two-day training on Milking and Milk Handling Protocol at Brgy. Santiago, Palompon, Leyte on October 8-9, 2020. The training was attended by thirty-seven (37) farmer-members of Barangay Santiago Livestock Farmers Association.

NDA thankful for USDA’s support to the Philippine dairy industry

NDA employees make changes for women

3. Precautions – Precautions should be taken in order to prevent the spread of the COVID19:
· Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
· Maintain a safe distance from one another specially those sneezing and coughing.
· Stay home and isolate yourself if not feeling well.
· If you have a fever, a cough, and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance.
· Avoid unneeded visits to medical facilities, this allows them to operate more effectively, thus also protecting you and others.
· Follow the directions of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and local health authorities.
